I lived in New York for a few years, and I loved it. The pace, walking especially, the energy. It’s like driving but on two feet, with two+ lanes of traffic. As I’m writing this, I’m back in New York for less than four hours, and it’s like nothing is changed.

Good morning my sweets,

I lived in New York for a few years, and I loved it. The pace, walking especially, the energy.  It’s like driving but on two feet, with two+ lanes of traffic.  As I’m writing this, I’m back in New York for less than four hours, and it’s like nothing is changed. I was walking down Fifth Avenue, thinking about exactly this - how much I used to belong here, and how magical that time was - when I passed actress Tea Leoni. Ok cool, celeb sighting. What’s weird though is that I used to live in the same neighborhood as Tea, David Duchovny, and their kids. I would see them almost daily. How is it possible that I ran in to her, of all people, within four hours of being here? As I literally am thinking about my old life here?  In a totally new neighborhood?

We could make this all mean 100s of different things, or make it mean nothing, and everyone can choose for themselves. I choose to see it as a little sign that I’m here for a reason, and to remind me of the good memories from this city. Why not?

always,
XIMXIA
